What movie is it where an alien abductee is taken to talk to an alien held by the government?

I saw a film or a tv show or something a long time ago and I remember one scene. A man is taken by the government to a secret base (maybe Area51 or something) and being held there is an Alien (like the typical grey sort). The alien is dying or something, and they bring in this man to communicate with the alien. I've looked online for the title of this movie, but I have not had any clues.

What is taken into account for a musician's total records sold?

When an artist is announced to have sold 100 million records worldwide in their entire career what is taken into account to get that number? Do they count both album sales and single sales?

For example, Artist X has sold 100 million records, they release a new album that has sells 1 million records and the singles sell 5 million in total. So when they are certified would that be 106 million records sold?

yes, ASCAP, keeps a record of the royalties and recordings sold from an individual artist. That includes Online Music. Evey time a "hit" is sold it is taken into account in whatever form they are sold or even radio play.
