Plot Summary: The prequel story traces the origins of the centuries-old blood feud between the aristocratic vampires known as Death Dealers and their onetime slaves, the Lycans. In the Dark Ages, a young Lycan named Lucian (Sheen) emerges as a powerful leader who rallies the werewolves to rise up against Viktor (Nighy), the cruel vampire king who has enslaved them. Lucian is joined by his secret lover, Sonja (Mitra), in his battle against the Death Dealer army and his struggle for Lycan freedom.

I am planning on hitting the theater for this one. I have been anticipating it for a while now.
I think the first two were really good. It gave a good background on how Lycans and Vampires became enemies without losing the present storyline. I am glad they are taking a step back with the prequel, to further develop the other characters we only touched upon.It should be quite interesting. However,I wonder what will be next since obviously Selene will give birth to the ultimate hybrid...

Should I see Underworld Rise of the Lycans?

I'm really squeamish and I don't know if I should see Underworld Rise of the Lycans. I've seen the other two movies and love them but I'm afraid from what I've heard that this movie has a lot of blood and stuff. I'm prone to passing out from blood and that sort of stuff so I'm not sure if I should see it.
Yes, go and see it, you'll be sorry if you don't.

There's gore, but nothing too extreme. A couple beheadings, a bit of blood splatter here and there. It's all edited very quickly, so you should be fine.
