It doesn't seem probable, but a new graphic novel with Batman at the center of a classic Christmas story is simply terrific.
Lee Bermejo writes and draws "Batman: Noel" ($22.99, DC Entertainment), which tells of a Batman-Joker battle through the lens of "A Christmas Carol." At first blush this sounds like a terrible idea; the schmaltz of Charles Dickens would seem a poor fit for Gotham City. Amazingly, Bermejo makes it fit like a glove.
I remember an Australian christmas carol we had to sing at school with the lyrics 'when the hot north winds are blowing and the sky is shining blue, merry christmas, merry christmas to you'. Is anyone familiar with it? I can't find it on the internet anywhere.
The only song I could find that had some of those lyrics is Simple Things by Jim Brickman.
My friend said her Mom saw a Christmas Carol where scrooge was actually dragged down to hell but she could never find the one where it happened again. Does anyone know if there is one where this happens?
YES, there is!!! And it was my FAVORITE version!!!!! They actually go into detail about his time in hell, too. The movie is called "Scrooge" 1970, directed by Ronald Neame.

Since the holidays are coming, and they made sooooo many different versions of the movie, I'm wondering what your favorite one is? Mine is the Muppets Christmas Carol. Also, if anyone has seen the new one, what's your opinion of it?
